bintan is lyk an artificial heaven built on earth. Its a pity dad didn bring his golf set along. It all started wif all of us in bad mood. woke up at 7 in the morning. dad drove to tanah merah terminal. did all the administrative stuff and was ready to go thru the immigration department. then mum realised my baggage wasnt there. i had to go back and check the boot of the car. it wasnt there too. then mum called to report dat she checked it in already. panic sia.
Unfortunately, i was left wif onli the front most seat. The fun part of the ride is dat i get to gallop for 60 full min. I managed to hold on to the reins for 55 min, but just when we were almost there, i threw up unexpectedly. the lady nxt to me offered me a plastic bag and soem tissue.
A bus took us to bintan lagoon resort where we get the warmest welcome, an asianic gamelan dance wif refreshing lemon grass drinks. E most fun part in bintan dat i'l nvr 4get is the buggy. Every villa comes wif a buggy and a private pool. Didn really put the pool to gd use due to the rain. Onli lie down and soak my legs in it for 10 min. Get to try out driving. They get to experience the most thrilling rides ever. But i improved. Lil bro said i made tremendous improvement the 3rd tym i drove it.
Beach: the waves there are quite high, but they are nt the highest i've seen. Desaru has the highest waves. Smart lil bro told me dat the highest waves can be found in malaysia on boxing day 2005. He also discovered dat bintan resort is actually a temasek holdings' investment so all the transactions there are in singapore's currency. mum bought a coconut shaped handbag. The stuff in the resort aint cheap. But it doesnt matter, mum and granny cooked there everyday. save all the food expenses. The monsoon season's quite a turn off. rained all day, had to do indoor activities lyk table tennis and snooker all day. Drank carlsberg at nite.
We hired 2 caravans dat took us to the most posh place in bintan. Its worse than boon lay shopping centre haha. but i bought clothes there. 2 floral shirts short sleeve ( 1 blue, 1 bedge ) and 1 black long sleeve shirt, floral too and it makes me look so skinny. 1 white long sleeve pull over wif brown horizontal stripes. 2 chokers.
We chose the middle seats on our way back. all was clear and sound. couldn even feel the boat move. bought limited edition absolut vodka and martini from dfs. the parking fee was 30 bucks. dad drove lil bro to town, we ate out in boonlay shopping centre to check out the contrast. sent cousin home. Then go home. One of the most irritating stuff i encountered in bintan was the shampoo. i regretted nt bringing my own shampoo and hair conditioner. Overabsorption of chlorine already caused them to wind up. the beach breeze made it worse.
