GP exam. Fared badly. Wrote a totally sexist essay. Hope my marker's an mcp. Question goes lyk this, "Traditional gender roles is a thing of the past, especially with the help of media recently. Do you agree?" I must say i had limited contextual knowledge no dat topic. Intro was fine. (talked bout media carving a niche for themselves by introducing lady's magazines)
Exageration starts to evolve in 1st para. My pt on traditional gender roles is stil existent in the event of procreation goes lyk this. If this world is to be packed this gays and lesbians running around, the human race wil be pronounced extinct in the nxt hundred years to come. *(Media doesn play a part here, so no need to ans the nxt part of the qn.)
my 2nd para was full of names. copied some from eugene's essay. Prophet muhammad(duno how to spell his name, hope its correct), Jesus christ, Ahamdinejad, George W. Bush, Wolfgang amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Leonardo da Vinci, Shakespear( always 4get how to spell his name), Confucius. All men. (Media canot conceal all this fact). no explanation. no elaboration. didn have tym.
Para 3. was about the few women breakthroughs lyk Condolisa Rice and Helen Keller and women infiltrating into education and psychological sectors. (give them a bit of face in face the marker's a female one). Ended off with. History adduced dat men are the superior race. and media have once again reassured this fact.(didn explain why, no tym) Extremely sexist. Just hope dat marker's an mcp or sth. (didn really ans the parts on media)
Paper 2. 1st passage a bit cheem. couldn understand Martin Luther King. Meritocracy opposes elitism( didn noe wtf dat is). I lyk passage 2 though. They were writing bout small lee's nepotism. I didn confront the lees directly. used "the government" instead. (a notch safer wahaha) Wrote a lil bout democracy, slightly off topic haha. DO YOU NOE? DAT THE POORER ONES, THE ONES WHO NEEDS TO SPEAK UP MOST, CANT DO SO IN THE SPEAKER"S CORNER? COX THEY CANT EVEN AFFORD TO GET A LICENSE? im apolitical. dun look at me. gone off track so yea they were talking bout small lee, i talked bout the old one and his ministers' pays, as compared to poor pple. I thought peanuts might help amplify the effect, but then again(no tym). I just need an unprofessional Anti PAP marker to mark my script and i'll get an A.
